On the 7.5 acres directed across Fremont from the main campus of The Alhambra, the Company developed The Shops at The Alhambra. When acquired, the property was industrial zoned and the company rezoned the property to allow for retail development. A plan was unanimously approved by the City for a 120,000 square foot retail center on the site. Approximately 5.5 acres were sold to Kohl’s Department Store for a two-story 100,000 square foot store and the Company developed the remaining two acres with an 18,000 square foot retail center leased to Starbuck, Jamba Juice, Subway and others centered around a street facing plaza.
